Volunteer

The Ohio Society has created a flexible volunteer program that you can tailor to fit your needs. Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Society―get involved with The Ohio Society―for yourself and your profession.

A complete list of volunteer opportunities is below. To volunteer, send an e-mail to Joe Rosato at jrosato@ohio-cpa.com.

Committees, Councils, and Task Forces

The Ohio Society of CPAs relies on its committees, councils and task forces to govern and set the direction for The Society staff. You have the opportunity to share your experiences and expertise to help shape the present and future policies, initiatives, and strategic plans of The Ohio Society of CPAs.

Ohio CPAs Speak Out

When it comes to managing their finances, Ohio residents and businesses are seriously challenged today. Through Ohio CPAs Speak Out, members can promote the value of their CPA credential, educate the public and build their reputation as expert financial advisors.

Operation CPA

Recognizing the sacrifice being made by Ohio reservists and Guard members, The Ohio Society has partnered with the Ohio National Guard to offer Operation CPA, a volunteer-based program that matches CPAs with local military families in need of tax preparation assistance. Learn More>

Legislative Keyperson Program

The Legislative Keyperson Program consists of volunteers willing to serve as a point of personal contact for the members of the Ohio General Assembly and Congress, advocate on behalf of The Ohio Society of CPAs and public policy issues impacting the CPA profession. Learn More>

CPA to CPA Program

The CPA to CPA program serves as a resource to connect members with a peer-to-peer network consisting of other members for limited advice or counsel. Provided at no charge, this program is designed for members to receive a one-time, quick answer to a question from a colleague who has experience in that area of accounting. All services are entirely confidential. Special Interest Section Leader

A Special Interest Section Leader is a member who has expertise in one of the 16 Special Interest Sections. This member volunteers their time and knowledge to enrich the Special Interest Section of their choice. Section leaders work with the Society staff to increase the value of Section membership, engage members with their section peers, generate new and innovative ideas, and increase Special Interest Section memberships.
