    “You did what others have been unwilling to do,” Office of Budget and Management Director and OSCPA member Pari Sabety raved as she congratulated OSCPA for taking action and developing the Ohio Budget Advisory Task Force Report. Sabety acknowledged OSCPA’s initiative before a packed house at the first Professional Issues Update (PIU) in Columbus. “I am proud of my Society for challenging us,” Sabety added.

  • Title agency escrow account review process remains the same for 2009

    The Ohio Department of Insurance reports that, despite recent efforts to update the agreed-upon-procedures process for reports due Dec. 31, 2009, the process for the title agency escrow account review will be identical to that followed for reports filed at the end of 2008. Under Ohio law, only CPAs can conduct the “review,” which actually is an agreed-upon-procedures report.
