Employers subject to the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) will need to revise policies, forms, employee handbooks and posters to comply with the final FMLA regulations, according to OSCPA Affinity partner Oswald Companies.
Highlights include an "exigency” leave expansion for military family members and an expansion of veterans’ rights. Several clarifications regarding incremental leave are also included in the final FMLA regulations.
Employers need to post the new FMLA poster by March 8, 2013.
